In early 2024, we partnered with the Walker Agency and Ordnance Survey (OS) to inspire viewers to embrace the outdoors with our series ‘Touch Grass’. We paired three TikTok influencers with three OS champions in a thrilling race across the South Downs. Our goal was to resonate with Gen Z by showcasing the excitement of outdoor activities, hoping to inspire them to explore and enjoy nature.
The Challenge
We knew this project would be demanding, filming high-energy activities like running, mountain biking, and hiking. The unpredictable British weather required meticulous preparation. We used lighter cameras for agility and action cameras to capture dynamic scenes. Managing power supplies with portable solutions and quick battery swaps kept us rolling without interruption.
Communication and Collaboration
Led by our in house Producer Rosie Portal and Location Manager Tobie Charlton, our pre-production team meticulously planned every detail. We designed outdoor challenges that tested navigation skills, teamwork, and creativity, resulting in a series filled with triumphs and hilarious mishaps. In the rugged South Downs, communication was key. Walkie-talkies ensured seamless coordination between camera units, the location manager, and the producer, especially in areas without mobile signal.
Final Outcome
Our efficient in-house approach allowed us to complete the production in just a few months. We delivered 20 assets, from high-energy 20-second reels to full 15-minute episodes, ready for distribution across OS’s channels. Supported by a paid media campaign, this project promises to attract a new audience to the OS brand. We’re incredibly proud of our work and excited to see the positive impact of bringing young people closer to nature.
